Red white & blue butterfly card
The theme of Less is More challenge is COLOURS of YOUR NATION’S FLAG. My flag is Red white and blue … so I stamped a blue flower & sentiment, added a red butterfly and then tied a white ribbon ‘around the stems’. The stamps are Stampin’ up the layered butterfly is Martha Stewart punch. I couldnt leave this alone so i cut it down and added a red border. i think it adds a lot but am worried that that makes this more is more.
Ginger in red
Its Saturday and this is for two challenges Penny black Saturday– any thing goes and Allsorts challenge blog red card. the stamp is a penny black stamp called ginger, i chalked the hair and skin and coptic the dress, added background paper and ribbon..the design is cut with a spellbinder.,
Watermelon…Sorbet…Lime
The challenge today is from The Play Date Cafe with colors Watermelon…Sorbet…Lime. The stamp is American art stamp and i chalked for color, added stickles to glitter the leaves and then backed with pink on a lime card. the inspiration follows:
Cherry on top
The Stampin b’s design team challenge this week was a square birthday card with paper piecing. I used background paper from a stack, scraps for the pieing, cut with my spellbinder dies and added a ribbon. the stamps are form marks finest papers. i think the cupcake should be blackforest- a chocolate cupcake with cream filling and a cherry on top… yum!
ESPRESSOLEY FOR YOU!
The theme for today’s card is from My time to craft – ESPRESSOLEY FOR YOU so heres a coffee card, the design sketch is from Tuesday morning sketches, and the colors blue, green and brown from Top tip Tuesday , kinda a small card for three challenges…
Mojo fish
Just another Mojo monday, but its the first of the month so they offer prizes for every 50 entries so they get a lot of entries. go mojo!
All the stamps I used today are all from Marks finest papers, see how I used the water ferns instead of the triangles, ha ha.. I then added orange ribbons pieces to complete the design. of course the major’fish’ image was stamped, chalked, & spellbinder cut as i usually do. Maybe something edifferent tomorrow.
cucake dragon
It’s the anniversary of my fathers 92nd birthday, and i really miss him , this challenge seem really appropriate and reminds me of him for he had a favorite dragon ring( kinda like the one on the inspiration cupcake), plus I have this great dragon stamp from Stamps Happen Inc. I stamped then chalked for color then a added this sentiment(kinda hard to read) ‘ Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketshup’,.
inspiration below
Penny black background
The challenge was to make a Penny black background. Although it doesn’t make since to have a cat with balloons background at a mouse party….. here it is . The cat, mice, and sentiment are from penny black clear sets. The frame is cut from spellbinder nesties and surprise surprise I chalked the marching mice images.
Strawberries
The sell is more challenge was FEELING FRUITY and i love the printworks strawberry and words. I then chalked them… less is more. I wasn’t sure i like this so i cut the card in 2 then mounted then added a green border then put it on a 5×7 red card, like it better? not sure.
Twine island
The Marks Finest Papers challenge was twine… i thought of sailor knots and sea scenes…but using twine is so bulky…. i guess i need twine practice. the background is cuttlebuged and both sentiment and the island are Marks Finest Paper stamps from summer mini set ‘sand between my toes’. Cute huh?
