Tods birthday cake

Its almost Todd’s birthday and tod likes toad theme cards(i have lots of frogs and slip them in for toads from time to time) and this frog is him and three challenges; the Playdate cafe – navy, bubblegum, and green and Case study– see sketch below. and marks finest papers Speedy’s challange- emboss. The stamp is Penny Black and the machine em bossed background cuttlebug birthday wishes. I chalked the image for color and cut the image and frames with spellbinder rectangle dies.

Its been a few days, can’t seem to get cards done so I thought a simple card would be get the creativity going . Frank’s birthday

Its Mojo Monday time and I really needed a sketch for Franks birthday card, and I wanted post a crd for Penny Black Saturday– touchy feelie- the raised embossing, the ribbed ribbon, & the layers, and Top tip Tuesday– straight edges, although I cut frames with a spellbinder die the squares have all straight edghes! 3 challenges for early Monday morning, sometimes it good to get up early.

Mondays can be fun.

distress

Marks finest papers Speedy the cat challenge is Distress, which seems to mean ‘old’ antique looking and there are distress inks and techniques so I hope this fits. The distressed image is from Marks finest papers ‘Thankful for you’ set , I used Tim Holtz distress ink. then sponged the teal and goldenrod inks around the background so i could enter the Playdate Cafe color challenge (see below). The sentiment is from hero arts.

White seahorse

This is for two challenges the Party Time Tuesday inspiration(see below) which is a sea scene with a sea horse(by Stampin’ up), and the Simon says stamp challenge – all white with the exception of one colored image. I used cuttlebuged dots on vellum attached as a bubbled background, then cut the seahorse with spellbinders nestie , colored the image with chalk and then attached it to the card. here is the image that inspired me at Splitcoaststampers

Running late- this is for Everybody art challenge theme summer and Skipping stones design the template is below hope the inspiration is close enough the lost challange is Stampin ‘b’s clouds. Since it fit the theme for St Luke’s card challenge by the sea.I added it there. The stamp is local king rubber stamp company, the birds and crab are from Stampin upsets, and I chalked for color.

Mfp bookmark butterfly

Speedy the cat friends challenge was anything but a standard 4×5 card (the card i do most) so I made a bookmark with a postage stamp stamp I love from Marks finest papers.. i chalked it then pasted it on purple MFP card stock cut for a bookmark and added a ribbon simple like a card but not… my last post today.
