Sep 18 boy with plane
I’ve paper pieced a card for this week’s Casology cue BOY...
This ‘A Day for Daisies’ stamp of a boy with plane has always reminded me of my youngest son’s love for planes since he was an infant. And believe it or not, he is a major airline pilot now. I am now wondering if I really did enjoy his playing with flight toys as a young boy.
Racoon end of summer thoughts
The Less is More theme this fortnight is black and white and one color ,so i made a useful card with a little bit of yellow/gold using this theme . The stamp is from A day for Daisies. Raccoons, daisies and a spattered background just too cute.
cookie jar kid
Two challenges this morning the colors of Color Throwdown, the CASology cue Melt. Yes the melt is a stretch, but as the story goes in 1930, Ruth Wakefield was mixing a batch of cookies for her roadside Toll House Inn guests when she discovered that she was out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted broken pieces of Nestle’s semi-sweet chocolate, expecting it to melt and absorb into the dough to create chocolate cookies. That didn’t happen, but the surprising result helped to make Ruth Wakefield one of the 20th century’s most famous women inventors. When she removed the pan from the oven, Wakefield realized that she had accidentally invented “chocolate chip cookies.”
I put the recipe at the back of the cookie jar. the digital stamp is from A day for Daisies
