A few days ago it snowed in Sequim Washington, this scene shows more snow than actually fell there, but this is how it could have looked if my niece and nephew decided to make snowmen. The image is from Bugaboo digital stamps. The challenges are – the colors of Colourq, the sketch from Tuesday morning sketches and the theme My time to craft snowmen challenge.

vintage tree

This weeks CASology cue is old... When i viewed the designer cards I saw them associating it with birthday ages and old jokes but I’m thinking more about an old design. since i have an A day for Daisies vintage tree digital stamp. Vintage is old, right? I paper pieced the card in Photo Shop elements and was able to use my digital papers for both the wallpaper and the gifts. It’s hard to see in my photo I sprecked(glitter stuff) the top- of -the0 tree star and both ladie’s hair, then printed it, backed it with a red frame and put it on a cream card… yes i do digital cards but most of them turn into actual cards too.

blue nativity

Today I’m entering AAA cards Blue Blue Blue Christmas, the image is an A Day for Daisies and i used a lot of blue in coloring it, i also used a Darcie star embossing folder to get a bunch of stars coloring the brightest stars with stickles to get it sparklie. Here’s a card without the embossed stars, although simple is nice i like embossed stars.

LIM 200th

This morning the Less Is More blog is celebrating it’s 200th challenge. So here’s a celebration card. I printed the congrats and then used a spellbinder to cut and emboss a spellbinder feather, added twine circles, and colored the feather tip blue before gluing it to the card. Congratulations ‘Less is More’, my favorite card challenge.

Thanksgiving 2014

Saw these flowers in front of a flower shop in Long Beach yesterday… very cute very thanksgiving.

i also say this saying somewhere so i added a simple turkey to it. Trish made thanksgiving dinner so i don’t have to cook today just make a pumpkin desert. Happy thanksgiving!

birthday at Disneyland

this card is a thank you for a few of my Jazzercise sisters that went to Disneyland on my birthday to be in the evening parade. What a great beginning for this beautiful southern California day (weather low 70’s in the am and a little higher in the afternoon). We entered the park early enough to get Haunted house, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mr toad(yes I’m a frog lover) and It’s a small World rides done the morning. Then da da da dah… we had lunch and unfortunately i ate something bad and was very sick and Cheryl made sure i was accompanied to the first aid station… i stayed there till i was driven home that evening. My thanks for the great way the Disneyland first aid staff treated me… the Disneyland first aid station is a very comfortable place to be sick in, first class treatment comfortable beds, staff that were interested and had valuable emergency information and a pepto bismol like medication that really helped me! interesting birthday, wish i could have made the parade but the day was a very memorable 66th birthday anyway!
