cookie jar kid

tollcookiejarTwo challenges this morning the colors of Color Throwdown, the CASology cue Melt. Yes the melt is a stretch, but as the story goes  in 1930,  Ruth Wakefield was mixing a batch of cookies for her roadside  Toll House Inn guests when she discovered that she was out of baker’s chocolate. She substituted broken pieces of Nestle’s semi-sweet chocolate, expecting it to melt and absorb into the dough to create chocolate cookies. That didn’t happen, but the surprising result helped to make Ruth Wakefield one of the 20th century’s most famous women inventors. When she removed the pan from the oven, Wakefield realized that she had accidentally invented “chocolate chip cookies.”

I put  the recipe at the back of the cookie jar. the digital stamp is from A day for Daisies

Some bunny love tuesday

somebunnuy-lov.jpgHere’s my entry for Tuesday Morning Sketches .  The image is  a   ‘bunny love’ From the Heart digital stamp, the hearts cardstock  is from Recollections.  The heart jewels were from a bin at Joann’s.  When I bought the paper ist was for Valentines day but since the  the stamped  heart is held by rabbit, i think this could be spring/Easter too.

\toruq-birdonfence&dotsThis is the  2nd… this one uses cardstock instead of tape for the background behind the birds.
