brown cat
The everybody art challenge was monotone brown and I’ve been wanting to do a kitty birthday card… it fits.. cut with spellbinder nestie ovals and the sentiments are Stampin up.
tms- cupcake wars
This weeks Tuesday morning sketch challenge is cupcake wars and since its fall; I decided to make pumpkin spice cupcakes displayed in an autumn showcase display with matching card. The display includes a cornucopia with several different types of squashes, straw, leaves, with an added framed wheat to complete the harvest theme. The cupcakes were made from a spice cake mix substituting 2 cups of canned pumpkin for the liquid. the cupcake papers are fall theme and the frosting is cream cheese, however since the cupcakes need no frosting I’ve showcased two un- frosted.
The cornucopia stamp has no name and the cupcake stamp is from a set by Sunday International.
birthday frog
The penny black challenge was favorite things so what is better than a penny black frog with a chocolate cake???
its for my nephew( hes in his 30s not a kid) but i thiikk a frog may be ok with him,
happy birthday Gerad.
5 colors- christmas tree
The one layer challenge was to use 5 colors for a one layer Christmas card, and i was playing with digital trees, so here’s the challenge. 5 trees each a different color the stars have a touch of gold stickles to sparkle. the digital stamp is from Tiffany doodles.

Did i tell anyone i was guest designer at Tuesday morning sketches… oh i guess i did, so in honor of being aguest designer I made did two cards for the design this week
This fishing card is my first, the designs are from gone fishing a set by Tiffany Doodles. the fish is colored with chalks, the fishing basked was left alone, both the basket and fish are in the same set… kinda go together don’t they?
The turtle, for my sons birthday is the 2nd one. This stamp is local king rubber stamp, the green dots are robin nests. there is a gold ribbon at the top of the turtle image. that’s it for today
frog in snow
Let it snow let it snow let it snow…. that’s easy to say when it was 80 outside yesterday… but snow is the theme of the Penny Black Saturday challenge.. and i couldn’t find my penny black winter stamps today…. maybe i need to clean mu stamp room?
The frog is Penny black, the snowglobe ,flakes , and ‘joy’ are Stampin up. The background paper is from a stack.. i like snow cards better than snow.
i added a ribbon to it for mojo monday… is it better?
partridge in pear tree
Guess it s time for Christmas cards two challenges today…toptip tuesday and Everybody art challenge today have that as a theme… therefore this card is for the first day of Christmass… I love this Stampin up stamp and I love quitefire design script for all its sentiments… it cut with spellbinder nesties and embossed in gold with a background paper… lot of steps and a card i think is a beauty.
HB Mike
Soon, its my bosses birthday…. so i needed a fisherman’s card. The stamp is from Aunteamy,. the wood grain emboss plate is from.Sizzix. I didn’t have exactly the right size cutting die so the edges are cut with ‘fancy’ deckle sissors. I sponged a frame with ink. Although the sketch had a ribbon… just didn’t think ribbon was rustic enough so the fish takes the place of a bow! Mojo sketc 163 below.
frog and triangles
Its Saturday so I’m up early doing a penny black Saturday challenge. since I’m tired of Halloween themes so I’m back to frogs. the theme is triangles or zigzag…. think I incorporated lots of those. the cute balloon frog, of course , is penny black chalked for color with and added pink ribbon, then used cuttlebug for the diamond background and spellbinder nesties to cut the frog pic. happy Halloween eve.
